Golf Course & Practice Facility Access
We are very excited to be hosting the Canadian Women's Senior and Mid-Am National Championship. This is an excellent opportunity for Lookout Point to showcase our amazing course and facilities to the best women's amateur golfers in Canada. Players will be arriving on Sunday evening to familiarize themselves with the golf course and facility. The tournament officially opens with practice rounds on Monday, August 27th. Competition rounds are held on Tuesday & Wednesday, August 28th and 29th, with a cut scheduled prior to the final round on Thursday, August 30th.
The Golf course and all practice facilities (including driving range, chipping and putting greens, and the lower range) will be closed to the membership starting Monday, August 27th and re-opening Friday, August 31st. In preparation for the event, we are also scheduling some additional maintenance to the driving range which will force the closure of the range in the early evening of Thursday, August 23rd and be reopening mid-morning on Friday, August 24th. The chipping green and putting area will remain open.
Reciprocal Lottery Process
On Thursday, August 23rd the lottery for the reciprocal times will be conducted by the Professional Staff with the assistance of a group of selected members. All ballots must be in by noon Wednesday, August 22nd. The winners of each tee time will be posted via an e-blast on Thursday. The maximum number of times each member may win is 1 time per day. If the member selected can't or chooses not to take the time, that member has the option to offer that tee time to any other member at Lookout Point. In this situation, the member must contact the Professional Staff so we may contact the reciprocal club and update the booking with the appropriate names.
A number of members have inquired as to the procedure for the lottery. It will be run as follows: Ballots will be arranged first by Day (Starting with Monday, August 27th) and then by Tee Times starting with those with the largest number of requests. Once a member is selected he/she can no longer be selected for a second tee time on that day. Once all of Monday's tee times have been assigned, the process will repeat for Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday times.
