WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE GOLF SHOP - EPISODE 25
Message from your Professional Staff at Lookout Point Country Club
Good Afternoon,
Welcome to fall golf here at Lookout Point. The weather has certainly turned a bit cooler and along with the temperature change we have seen a number of really windy days as well. Before we move on to the news this week, I thought it might be fun to share a great video from our friends at 2nd Swing Golf about how wind affects your golf shots and how you can adjust your approach to play better golf in the wind.
Golf Course Maintenance
Just as our tee sheet and tee times have been affected by weather and limited daylight, our grounds department is working to perform the additional maintenance that is required in the fall to keep the golf course up to our high standards. These programs include spray applications and other procedures which many times cannot be planned until weather patterns allow them to be. In order to have the least impact to daily play we will be moving our Tuesday & Thursday crossovers back to a 9:00am start on Tuesday, October 13th & Thursday, October 15th. Going forward we will be unable to provide a cross-over on Tuesdays & Thursdays as these will be key days for our grounds department to complete the work that is required. A Lottery will still be in effect for Tuesday & Thursday play, however off the 1st tee only.
Labour Day Facebook Promotion Winner
Congratulations to Sarah Waite who was the winner of our Facebook Labour Day promotion. Stop by the golf shop to claim your prize and spend your credits!
Sincerely,
The Professional Team at Lookout Point Country Club
