MESSAGE FROM THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF
Good Afternoon,
This week is more of a “mini-newsletter” as we have some information coming down the pipe over the next few days in regards to opening date and our protocols to start the season. Look for emails from our President and General Manager early in the week, then stay tuned as we unpack all the info through a variety of visual media and our golf shop newsletter later next week.
In this week’s “mini-newsletter” we introduce you to the final member of our 2021 Golf Shop team. We are thrilled to have Mackenzie join the team in 2021, and we know you will give her the Lookout Point welcome she deserves. We also have an update on our 2021 Favorite Hole Bracket (round of 16 matchups now set) and invite you to participate in our annual Course Cleanup day where you will get a sneak peek at some of the new sightlines opened up from our ongoing tree removal program. Our Buy 3, Get 1 free promotions with Titleist, Taylormade (TP5x no longer available) and Callaway continue (buttons below). Finally, NOW is the time to book your cart package for the 2021 season.
On behalf of the Professional Staff,
Dan Roud
Golf Shop Manager

Where are you joining LPCC from?
I’m joining LPCC after four years of working at the London Hunt and Country Club Golf Course in London, ON
If you could play any golf course in the world what would it be?
If I could play at any course it would be Royal Dornoch, Scotland is on my travel bucket list and it wouldn’t hurt to play such a beautiful course while there.
What is something that Lookout Point members will find interesting to you?
That I am currently going on my fifth year at Brock University completing my master’s degree and in all that time have never hiked the famous Decew Falls.
Any goals for this year’s golf season?
For the 2021 season in golf, I hope to improve my game in all aspects and become more consistent, maybe pick up some tips from the LPCC pros.
Pastimes or hobbies?
Some of my favourite past times include being active, attempting to play golf, reading a good book and spending time with my family! Any spare time I have in the summer you can catch me driving to the beach to watch the sunset! (however, I’ve heard it may have some competition with the sun rise over the first hole at LPCC)
Favorite Golf Memory (either your own or witness live or on TV)?
My favourite golf memory was two summers ago when we hosted the Canadian World Junior Hockey Team and Association at our golf course for a three day tournament. We had 150 carts on our course, and it was by far the most amazing and crazy tournament I ever had the pleasure of helping arrange

Another Update from the Green Room….
Along with the ongoing tree removal program and raking of the golf course, we’ve had another productive week, especially with the early warm weather.
We’ve been able to take all the covers off the greens (they look great), rolled and cut the greens, verticut all tees, including the practice range tee and all the fairways.
Next week we’re looking at possibly getting the greens aerified and bunker work.
Course Cleanup Day - April 3rd, 2021
*Weather Permitting
On Saturday, April 3rd we will host our annual Course Cleanup Day. Things will be a bit different than in the past. The Course Cleanup Day is an entirely optional opportunity for members to get involved and enjoy some time outdoors while helping our grounds department complete some minor maintenance duties such as picking up sticks and raking leaves.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions and protocols, there will be no F&B offerings or Green Fee passes provided as has been custom in the past. We are not allowed outside gatherings at the moment, and we do not have the ability to offer guest rounds with the expected demand on the tee sheet. We can, instead, offer in a sincere THANK YOU for helping to make the beginning of our 2021 season a success.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by a member of the staff who will direct you to a specific hole to begin cleaning. Aldo will be making rounds on the course and providing instructions. Come for as long or as little as you want - every bit helps!!!!
Please Note: No rakes or equipment will be provided to limit contact points. Please bring your own rakes and gloves.
