WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE GOLF SHOP - EPISODE 12
Message from your Professional Staff at Lookout Point Country Club
Like all of you, we were thrilled to hear the announcement earlier this week that Niagara would be moving forward into stage 2 of re-opening. A busy patio will be sure to bring some additional life to the property and we can’t wait to see everyone enjoying the wonderful views post-round again!
We’ve been keeping a very close eye on the tee sheet and availability over the past few weeks and we are getting closer to being able to relax some further restrictions on the tee sheet. Looking ahead, some of these plans include guest access and the return of the weekend lottery. We look forward to communicating these plans with you over the next few weeks.
In the meantime, we are pleased to announce that as of Monday, June 22nd we will be re-opening club storage for those members who are interested. Club & Kaddy storage is something that we have taken our time with to fully understand how to provide this service while minimizing the creation of additionals touchpoints. Please NOTE: Opening Club Storage will in fact add an additional touchpoint between your clubs and our staff. If you are at all uncomfortable with this additional touchpoint, we strongly recommend that you continue to take your clubs with you at the end of your round.
The following guidelines will be in effect for the addition of club storage:
Cleaning services will NOT be offered at this time.
Kaddy & Battery storage will be available.
Dropping clubs off for storage is only permitted following a played round. Please do not bring your clubs onto the property in advance of Monday, June 22nd, or attempt to drop them off if you are not playing golf beforehand.
Retrieval of clubs will be done for players who are on the tee sheet or who have a booked practice time. If you are playing off property or need your clubs for any other purpose we ask that you call ahead or take them with you after your round.
Golf Carts will no longer be staged at the top in the parking lot. Staging of carts and bags will be prepared in the back shop. This is required to avoid extra congestion around the back shop doors as people wait for their clubs. Staff will instead greet you at the podium by the back shop door. From here, we will prep each bag/cart/kaddy in order as you arrive to the podium nearest the putting green.
Sincerely,
Your Lookout Point Professional Team

RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER
As you may be aware, this year’s Ride to Conquer Cancer was canceled as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The ride would have been scheduled to take place last weekend. Cancer has impacted the lives of many of our members in many different ways. One such example is Julianne Miszk, daughter of our own Joe Miszk. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Julianne you will know she is an absolute inspiration. This past weekend, a group of riders - led by Steve Merker (Vice President of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation) took on the 200km trip to Chippawa to ride with Julianne & her family in their own cross-town ride. You can read all about it by clicking HERE.
